Stay tuned - Our high school field hockey team is offering a field hockey clinic on June 25 - 27 from 9 - 1 at the middle school. This clinic is for girls entering grades 3 - 5 and will be $50. More information will be posted as is it available. Muhlenberg College is offering a summer turf camp for field hockey players of all ages. Check this section for weather related updates. The 2013 season will be run a bit differently for the Grade 1 & 2 Pink group. I will need at least one parent coach per 10 players to help coach this division. If I do not receive enough volunteers to take on the role of coaches, the program will be open to only grades 3 - 6. The 2013 Season will be here before you know it!!!
Here is a brief overview of the 2013 Fall Field Hockey Season: As in years past, our High School team will be coaching the youth field hockey teams. This program will be "in house" - meaning, our teams will be playing each other in organized games. We may be able to participate in some end of year scrimmages or mini tournaments with some other local club teams that are forming. The expectation is that a parent or guardian will be on site during games and practices. If you will be leaving the field area, be sure to tell your daughter's coach AND the director or a designated adult and ensure that they have emergency contact information. IMPORTANT!!!! ALL PLAYERS MUST provide and wear their own shin guards and they must bring and wear their mouth guards at ALL PRACTICES and GAMES! No exceptions. Eye protection is optional and you must provide your own ASTM approved eye protection if you want your daughter to wear it. Every player will be given one mouth guard at the first practice night. If you wish to provide your daughter with her own mouth guard, please feel free. There will be some mouth guards available for purchase ($2) if one is forgotten. The practice schedule is currently to be determined. The majority of the games will be on Sunday afternoons. We will likely have practice Tuesday and Thursday evening the week before school begins.
